Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission

The Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission was established in 1977 to protect and uphold treaty fishing rights at all scales for tribes. CRITFC is comprised of four tribes: the Nez Perce Tribe, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon, and the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation. CRITFC serves to secure the health of tribal fisheries through providing “coordination and technical assistance” to the tribes in order to uphold these treaty rights.
